I wasn't really sure what to expect when I purchased this, other than it looked really cool and might be a good way to teach my child about places on the globe. When we first opened it, it was much smaller than I expected, but that was just poor reading on my part. The globe portion is only about 3in around, so it's a little hard to see everything, but I can use a map online or another source to supplement. To get it started, just plug the the "c" shaped holder. Now, there's a sort of sweet spot you have to find to get the globe to levitate. Once it does, you can spin the globe, just watch it, or play with it. This would be a great in an office setting or for more mature kids. It's really awesome, but a lot of jumping on action around it makes it click up to the magnet at the top. I highly recommend this! It had all the adults at Christmas playing with it. Lol!

The Exofit NEX is hands down worth every penny. Your safety is paramount when working at heights and your level of comfort with comparability of loading your tools on the harness go hand and hand. If you are uncomfortable it distracts you from your primary focus on performing your job... there's simply none of that here. The ease of being able to quickly put on the harness and exit it is a nice feature with the locking quick connect buckles. Quick and easy adjustment is a savior when working in different weather as well, cool spring morning with a hoodie tends to be a bit more bulky and a quick turn of a dial gives you the extra room you need to be snug yet not constricted in your own device.

I am a Union Ironworker and highly recommend the NEX over the Exo Ironworkers make. This harness has more padding and more features to assist to make a change to our ever changing environments. Definitely worth every penny to invest in something that we put our lives on the line with. Not a single complaint here. Great work DBI/Sala on another outstanding safety product.

DEWALT (DWMT75049) Mechanics Tool Set Review - Toolset you'll pass down for generations, might be too much for light handyman work

This is DEWALT (DWMT75049) Mechanics Tool Set, 192-Piece

I just had my tool box stolen with a zillion years of bought-one-at-a-time tools. Looking out for tool sets that were NOT a conglomeration of ultra cheap pieces or odd twenty cent devices included just to bump up the piece count, I found this set, and it seems that someone actually consulted experienced users because this assortment has very little in the way of crap or useless "homeowner" tools. I'd say that, with this set, and a new pickle fork, I'm about two thirds of the way back to normal for hand tools.

Other pros: no color coding, only three useless spark plug sockets, no tricky as-see-on-TV stuff, intelligent selection of Torx and Allen sockets, good choice of size adapters and u-joint couplers, largest sockets are 1 inch and 24 mm, no Whitworth! Just kidding about the British stuff: they've learned.

Cons: Personally I'd like some level of tactile marking to differentiate metric from SAE, but other than that: pretty much nothing.

Even the blow-molded case seems sturdy, but I HAD to dump everything into a steel toolbox because blow molded cases are just silly.

Delta Faucet Leland Pull Down Kitchen Faucet Review - Great faucet!

This is Delta Faucet Leland Pull Down Kitchen Faucet with Pull Down Sprayer, Kitchen Sink Faucet, Faucets for Kitchen Sinks, Single-Handle, Magnetic Docking Spray Head, Arctic Stainless 9178-AR-DST

There are 3 spray features: regular, multi.stream spray and the single jet spray with a water force field around it. Love that last feature for getting rid of those stuck on food pieces or dried gravy.

Keep in mind what ever setting you leave the spray on is what will come on next time to best to always switch back to regular. So many times I left it on spray and made water mess.
I love love this faucet with the pull out hose, soooo soooo easy to clean the sink or to fill my water filtering pitcher or to fill a pot on the counter.
I had a family friend install this so I wouldn’t know anything much about installing. But you can try to ask I’ll try my best.
It’s easy to clean and just looks beautiful.
I highly recommend it!

Tohlar Kitchen Faucets with Pull-Down Sprayer Review - Great product, horrible instructions

 For the price, I dont think there is a better deal out there. Its nice heavy duty but the faucet functions nice, smooth off and on, nice spray, easy to use, great pressure and mobility. That being said, the instructions that come with it are awful. I read through them and had concerns but followed them anyway as many times I have not followed instructions for the same reason and ended up paying for it. But this time I paid for following them. They tell you to install the faucet and mount it securely first then try and screw in the two hookups afterwards which is not only super awkward but also potentially impossible. I got to that step and thought "Who knows maybe they have a method to get them in easy?" There isnt. Dont follow the instructions in the steps they provide. Screw in the hot and cold hoses before you do anything else. Even without all the hardware attached and trying to do it from below the sink, screwing those hoses in is tricky. So get them attached to the faucet first, then run the giant mounting piece up them and scew it into the faucet, stick all of it through the sink hole and then attach the washers and metal holder/screw in from the bottom. Basically do step 3 first then 1 and 2 in the instructions. If you do it that way its incredibly easy to install. But if you follow them in the actual order provided you may never get it hooked up. I have only used it for a day, so may update later. But thus far the faucet is great.

It’s a lidless full size garbage bin that doesn’t crumple under a hard stare— which is exactly what I was looking for. I have no idea why such a thing is so difficult to find, but it is. Sure yours might come with a dent in the side but just exchange it for another— the manufacturer has limited control over damage that occurs during shipping.

There’s a nifty looking trap on the side of the lid that you can fill with charcoal filters to keep it smelling fresh. Something I’ll never use and I’m sure hardly works in the first place (it could be nice to fill with lemon rinds or potpourri from time to time).

Yes, it is just a trash-can. But to me it is so much more than that. See, we had another brand before we got this bad-boy. The other model provided no end of frustration--especially when it came time to remove the full bag. To say it was difficult to remove would be an understatement.

BUT this beauty, well, this beauty is a breeze to remove full bags. Pop up the "wings" to release the bag then let them flop down. Now just pull the bag up! If it is really loaded, flip up the wings, then life up the top of the can (the black "edge") and lift up the bag. Easy-peasz.

Not made of the heaviest gauge metal but it arrived with no dents and should last as long as we have this kitchen to place it in.

Do yourself a favor and get this can.

This is being used in the kitchen of an accounting firm. Those accountants are ruffians and it’s holding up well in the first month. 😂 The liner makes the usable space substantially smaller, so we opted to use it without the liner.

These are a large capacity, and the opening is perfect for associates to be able to easily throw stuff away. The outside is easy to clean and they nicely fit 60 gallon trash bags.

Gaggia Babila Espresso Machine Review - Best coffee from a coffee maker ever

We replaced the Jura F8, which we had for just over 2 years, with this machine. The Jura E8 is the equivalent machine today. The Jura made wonderful coffee and espresso, but milk drinks were not hot enough and a pain to get working. This machine makes awesome everything. I love, love, love the steam wand. Super easy to use and gets the milk as hot as I want it. But for the days we have guests and I don’t want to stand at the counter foaming milk, we just pop in the carafe and voila. There are so many adjustments you can make and we found the right ones for the coffee we like. My only gripe about it is that when customizing drinks in the menu, liquid amounts of coffee and milk aren’t in any unit of measurement. It’s just a bar that you can move up or down (see pic). Even if I just knew that a full bar equals a certain amount, that would be helpful. Regardless, we have had the machine for a couple of weeks and we love it.

Update: We have had this for months now and we still LOVE it. We highly recommend the Italian brand Lavazza beans here on Amazon. We live in a metro area and can get them overnight so it isn’t a big deal to have them shipped. You get them in two pound bags and there are a variety of flavors. You can get VERY good espresso beans that are not oily, and therefore very suitable for any super automatic. And less expensive per Lund than the coffee shop!

I had been putting off purchasing this machine due to some reviews stating that the coffee was not hot enough. It turns out that most of those reviews were for the original models. The new Vertuoline machines seem to brew a slightly hotter cup than the original. Granted it is not so hot as to scald you but who drinks coffee that hot? When I received the machine I was first very impressed with how it was packaged. After unpacking it I was delighted to see that it came with a box of 12 capsules, 9 coffee and 3 espresso. All of various flavors and intensities, it also explained what made up each flavor and used a 1 to 11 number system to tell you how strong the blend was, 1 being the weakest and 11 the strongest. The bundle also came with a fabulous milk frothier. The initial setup is very easy to follow, it tells you how to do a first time use cleaning and how to brew your first cup of coffee. I prefer more of a latte when drinking my coffee so that gave me a chance to try out the milk frothier that came with the machine. First after inserting the coffee pod and starting the brewing process I was delighted to see how the coffee and foam actually separated just as seen in the videos on the website. It only took about 45 seconds to brew the coffee and the frothier took almost exactly the same amount of time to heat and froth the milk. Thus if you drink a latte coffee start them both at the same time to get the hottest coffee possible. For a latte I recommend using at least a 16oz cup or mug so both the coffee and milk will fit. I tried various flavors and intensities both with and without milk. Once I smelled the aroma, saw and then tasted various blends I was hooked!!!! The quality of these coffees are as good as it gets when home brewing. I have since retired my previous machine and will never be satisfied with anything less than my new Nespresso machine and coffees. If you truly love coffee house coffee then why not make them yourself at home. Save time and money!!!! Once you try this machine I am sure you will love it just as I do!!!!

 This is a very nice set of pots. I purchased to use at a second home. They cook well and are very easy to clean. I have Staub and Le Creuset pots that sit on the shelf while I use these pots. I just purchased a universal pot/pan lid so I had something to cover my pans while cooking, which works fantastic with the set. Honestly, I bought this set for the colors, and the colors have not faded. I've never put them in the dishwasher though, I always let them sit until the pan is cool to the touch, In fact the directions tell u Not to use Any type of metal in them or even stack other metal pots on them cuz they Will scratch them and then they are basically no good. But they cook Beautifully, u dont need oil or butter for anything!!

**Pros: These are the best pots and pans I've ever owned. Food glides easily and doesn't stick to these, making them incredibly easy to clean; sometimes just a quick rinse and dry is all that's needed. No scrubbing or scraping necessary. At most just soaking for a bit first does the trick. Plus they're absolutely beautiful.
**Cons: The main con is that the metal handles get really hot pretty quickly, so be sure to use something as a barrier to grip the handle. Also, be aware that the largest pot is still relatively small.
**Overall: I've had these for 7 months already and am very happy with this purchase!**

Ecolution Impressions Hammered Cookware Set Review - Dishwasher safe Non-Stick Pan!

The Ecolution Impressions hammered non-stick fry pan has the appearance of those hand made hammered Indian copper bowls on the outside with a really good non-stick surface on the inside. The handle is forked, so there is not one solid piece to transfer the heat. In addition there is a silicone handle allow handling without a pot holder for the most part. This pan has a heavy steel base which allows it to be used for induction cooking, while the rest of the pan is made from a heavy gauge aluminum. While the pan has some heft, it is not too heavy to lift. The instructions do not mention whether or not this pan is safe to use in the oven and the manufacturer really needs to clarify that, however they do say not to use cooking spray like PAM, though I'm not sure why. It's ok though, cooking spray is not necessary, the non-stick coating on this pan is fantastic, I have yet to have an issue with anything sticking on this surface. On food that commonly is a problem with sticking, just add a little bit of butter or olive oil and everything comes out fine. One thing to mention is that the rim of the pan has a steep angle which sometimes causes a struggle to remove food like omelets out of it. For other foods it is easier to use a spatula against the side of the pan and just lift up. Instructions say to use a plastic or wooden spatula to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. This pan cleans up so easily with just soap and water, but if you are lazy, this is the first non-stick pan that I have ever had that is fully dishwasher safe. I'm not sure the Ecolution Impressions pan is better or worse than any pan at this price point, but I think it's really nice.

This is an excellent tablet. When you buy Amazon tablets, it should be known you’re NOT getting an Android tablet. You’re getting Fire OS. But, you can still get Google apps on this tablet by downloading an APK of the Google Play store (which doesn’t root it or mess with warranty). It was between the Fire 7 or this one, & I opted for the extra price for more storage, better screen, & bigger size. I bought this tablet at Best Buy to take with me on the go rather than my iPad Mini. This is an amazing little thing. It runs fast, has a decent screen, is responsive, & has a great battery life. Yes, it has ads on the lockscreen, but they don’t bother me. I use this tablet for drawing & it actually is very good for it. I also use it to watch YouTube videos, although the speaker is extremely weak (not a huge trade off for me, I use headphones the majority of the time). Bluetooth connects great. Has a decent display, could be better, but it’s a budget tablet. You could technically get 2 Fire 7s for the price of this, but this is worlds better. I see no reason to go to the 10 inch unless you want a bigger screen. This is a great tablet. Absolutely nothing to complain about except a subpar speaker.

Fire 7 Tablet (7" display, 16 GB) - An amazing refresh of the base Fire tablet at an affordable price

 This is Fire 7 Tablet (7" display, 16 GB)

I having been buying the smaller Fire tablets (7 inch) since the beginning and I can now recommend to buy this tablet. I have other sized Fire tablets (8 Inch) and a new ipad, plus the new Kindle paper white, but the Fire 7 is my go to tablet. What I use it for. Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, Youtube. Kindle reader for books and bible. Audible books from audible. Podcasts (stitcher). Comixology for comics (old school Marvel fan!). Instagram (I do not use facebook). Home automation with Alexa (control of my lights, ring alarm, alarms, and basic questions) works great both hands free as well as pressing the home button. I also play light games on it, Word search, Temple run, Angry Birds series of games, Yahtzee, Subway Surfer, Crossy Roads, and a few others. I also listen to Amazon prime music (Apple music does not work on this device). I mainly use my Apple air buds when watching and listening and it sounds fantastic. Picture quality is great. This is a snappy little tablet and my favorite size. It feels good in the hand with the solid plastic build (compared to the Fire 8 inch, which feels more "cheap"). It is a great tablet to use while lying in bed, which is mainly when I use it (ipad 9.7 is to heavy). I feel that Amazon finally got it right with this new 2019 version. The previous versions are painfully slow to load anything, and that is why I never would recommend them especially for a child. These new tablets are so much better, my wife wants one, and I will be buying them for my kids, something I would not even consider before, because of the frustration of the slowness (and the reason my kids took over the ipad and iphones in the first place). As you can see this is a consumption device, meant for fun..not a computer or workhorse. I should mention you can check email and use the tablet for video chatting and dropping in on other echo devices which works really well and my kids have fun using it, I should also mention that I am a Prime member and take advantage of the Prime photo storage, which any picture that I take on my iphone, pops up on my Fire Tablet. I should also mention why I use this for reading more than my paper white, it is because I like the "page curl effect" and the way it highlights my passages on books (I still use my paper white..but this is just a preference). The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the 2mp camera (which I do not use much) and the battery life, which is actually not bad, but Amazon asked for a "star" rating on those two features as well as tablet as a whole. At $50 you can not go wrong. Plus if you have a previous version, just trade it in. I got $10 knocked off and an additional 20% savings. I think I paid about $33. I will be trading in my 8 inch Fire for this size as well. Great little tablet!

I posted my detailed review and measurements to audio science review. Some surprising finds were frequency response being limited to 24 kHz. From audibility point of view this is fine but be mindful that you would be wasting your money playing any high resolution/high sample rate content. Distortion is average for the amplifiers I have tested which means not so great.

When pushed, you literally hear the distortion through the case. Likely some coil is resonating.

Software configuration was problematic and took a number of tries. I was disappointed that I could not just use it with Ethernet and had to resort to setting up wifi which was difficult to get going. Seems Amazon has gone backward in reliability and simplicity of the original Echo devices.

I was surprised that there is no way to select inputs in the app. Worse yet you can't change the volume! Why oh why? Yes, there is a volume control but that only works for content you are playing from the app. The volume control is digital so why can't it be controlled remotely?

The overall functionality and build quality pushed me to put it on my recommended list but with reservations. Search for Amazon Link Echo Amp and audiosciencereview and you will find my detailed report.

I love that this has nothing to change. Easy as pie. Plugged it in and that's that. My eyes watered a bit the first day and I wondered why, but the second day is perfect. I have two and now ordered another larger one.

This unit, while relatively expensive, is quiet and efficient. I live in an older single-family home that was converted into 1 large apartment and 2 studios. The common gas furnace produces a great deal of dust year round. I also have 2 small long-haired dogs that shed (One much more that the other...) I've experienced a lot of respiratory issues from the dust, dry air and hair for the 7 years I've lived here. While this unit doesn't solve all of these problems it DOES lessen them. It stays on all the time, doesn't use a lot of power and is whisper quiet - so much so that I can leave it below my night stand next to my bed and never hear it running. It also doesn't require filter changes. I guess the only improvement I could ask for was if it could be designed to offer humitity features in the winter/dryer months.

I have an rv we are staying in while we build our new home. So with 4 dogs a cat and two adults the rv gets smelling very fast. We use this machine to remove all the pet orders and it truly works. We run this machine once a month and it removes ALL the smells. I also drive a lot with two of my dogs with me from SD to TX for work so my truck smells as well. I run the machine in my truck once a month and it does a great job removing the pet oder. I will never go with out one of these machines ever again in my life time. The O3 smell does take some time to clear out so be ready to open windows and to wait longer then you would think. But it is well worth the wait. Just remember to take the people, pets and plants out of the area you are cleaning. It will kill all three if you close them in the same area as the area you and using the machine. It will replace the O2 with O3 and suffocate them. So remember to remove the three “P” (people,pets,plants).
