Bought this for my 70+ year old father who is just getting better from open heart surgery a year ago. For the two months or so before I got this, getting out of the car was such an obvious struggle for him that it could take up to 10 minutes. With Autumn firmly here and Winter quickly approaching I just had to do something. Well since giving it to my father, he's been able to almost hop right out of the car instantly. He loves it! And just for the record, he's quite a big guy at 6'4" and 250 - 270 lbs. So now that he can move and get about he's able to actively work on getting his weight (and everything else) back under control post-surgery/rehab & 1 year checkup. I strongly recommend this for anyone having difficulty getting out of cars. Especially since they seem to get lower and lower every year. And though it does have a little bit of weight to it the size is not prohibitive so it can be carried in a purse or pocket giving you or your loved one the flexibility to use it in any car.
